Travel Note
There are plenty of beachfront condominiums & hotels on Seven Mile Beach. Additionally, if you prefer other accommodation options, Airbnb and VRBO have great listings. However, we highly recommend finding properties within a short distance from The Ritz-Carlton for added convenience. Keep in mind that after factoring in transportation costs, staying at or within a short walking distance to the Ritz- Carlton remains the recommended choice.

Transportation
Taxis and Rideshare - Taxis, though convenient, can be pricey (around $30 to $40 USD) You can take a taxi from the airport to your hotel or condo without needing to reserve one before-hand.
Local Buses - Local buses are an affordable option for getting around. They cover most of the island and are a practical choice for travellers. There are many taxis waiting at the airport in Grand Cayman.

If you are staying in a hotel along Seven Mile Beach in Grand Cayman, then you don’t necessarily need to rent a car. You will be within walking distance of shops and restaurants. There are also public buses that go along the main Seven Mile Beach road.
All hotels in Grand Cayman have concierge services that can call taxis for you if needed.
However, if you want to explore the island and do lots of activities, then you should definitely rent your own car. Renting a car in Grand Cayman is easy. There are multiple car rental offices located at the airport. You can walk to them from the airport within 1-minute. Keep in mind that DRIVING is on the LEFT SIDE in the Cayman Islands.
